Love Tarot with Tarot Cards
72Love Tarot
In my first Tarot card hub, I talked about how to learn to read the cards. In this hub, we'll move on to practical applications for tarot and the number one thing that I hear from people who want readings is love questions. So in this hub I will teach you how to layout a tarot spread for a love reading. Once you are more adept, you can layout your own love tarot reading.
Four Crowns
The first spread to discuss as a love reading is the Four Crowns spread. This is a classic love reading tarot spread. It shows two possible futures, karma and the psychology of the seeker. There is a lot for the reader to process in the spread. Fifteen cards are laid out in groups of three cards each. The center cards represent the querent/seeker and his or her situation. The upper right and left sets represent two possible futures. The lower left cards are psychological aspects of the situation and the right hand is karma.
I enjoy using this spread for love tarot readings because it gets into the heart of things and really opens them up. You have three cards for the current moment in time. Six cards for the future. Three cards to explore the psychology behind the seeker and her questions and three cards for fate or karma. There is a tremendous amount of information to process within the fifteen cards.
Celtic Cross
The Celtic Cross is a great spread for love readings. It is especially good for free tarot love readings because there are several good websites offering free Celtic Cross readings. It is an easy spread to learn so it's great for beginner readers.
It is a ten card spread. Six cards are grouped to the left and four cards form a line to the right. The cards on the left talk about the present and the past. The card at the top is the best outcome. This grouping can tell you a lot about the relationship and its foundations. What's the immediate future, what's the recent past? These factors matter for the health of the relationship.
The cards to the right include factors that affect the situation, external influences and the hopes and fears of the seeker. The tenth card, the card at the top of the line is the final outcome. As with anything, the cards say what they will say and how we interpret them is what matters. I have had every card in the deck be the "final outcome." Readings are generally not pat; they don't have the Two of Cups (the Love card) as the final card. A typical tenth card could be the Two of Disks (Change) or a trump card like Judgment.
